I know that many of you are in the same boat as us, wanting to savor the summer but also feeling like OMG I have to get my life in order. I have slowly started shopping our usual seasonal items for the girls because they have outgrown so much.
I do all of my laundry, and then take out anything too stained, ripped or an obvious too small, putting things into one of three piles recycle (great for crafts!), donate or save for the cousins or for Ami. Then I make a list of things they will need, what's immediate (undies, undershirts, socks, 5 or 6 outfits, and a Fall jacket, new sneakers and a sweatshirt) and what can wait until I find a great sale, like sweaters, sweatpants, winter coat, base layers etc).
And then I scout the sales, crossing off what I have purchased for the list, and I am telling you creating a note on your phone with things your kiddos need that you can reference when you are shopping or scouting sales is THE WAY TO GO.
