The best part of a great coat is that it can be timeless and a "master" piece in your wardrobe. Especially in NYC where it's pretty much all people see of your outfit during these cold months.
Imagine each coat worn with with a tee & denim and flats or for drinks over a chunky sweater & leather leggings or to the office over a power pant & bodysuit. Even over spring dresses come warm-ish weather. I buy at the minimum one to two that I know I will keep and wear for years, like the one above I bought on sale. But I always leave room for one or two fun ones I can wear as a statement pieces (hello faux fur).
