MAMA-IFORM Faux Leather Leggings with Peach

I'm bacccckkkk. Now that was a fun break but I missed this little place.

Every time I thought about not blogging it both relieved my anxiety and made me sad. Weird how that can happen at the same time.

The idea of not sharing or collaborating really made me sad. So expect some big changes by next month and a whole lot of new content (and new faces!) around here.

Below is me, 9 month PP. But before you scroll down and cringe, I am here to tell you that the baby weight crap is NO joke. And loving this body of mine has been so hard. I keep chanting, I made and fed two babies with this body but still society tells me I should push harder, lose weight faster, all while not losing my milk supply and waking with a baby at night + caring for both babies all day and being the perfect wife and homemaker. The expectations are ridiculous on us mamas.

Well I am here to remind you that postpartum looks different for all of us. And shoooooooot, I wish it looked a lot more slimming, flatter tummy on me but I had two really hard pregnancies and my priority the last 9 months has been keeping my supply healthy and two kids alive. I am hoping that by my Birdie's 1st birthday I am closer to a goal weight (lots of different goal weights around here... lol) but if I am not, I will remind myself: each of our postpartum journeys are different.

My biggest advice to mamas is that embracing your mombod all lies in that postpartum wardrobe. Washable, pieces that are easy to LIVE in but make you feel and look great. And what better way to do that with a company, like Peach that embraces entrepreneurial women. (scroll through their site to learn more about that). They are an exciting, new fashion brand that designs versatile, contemporary women’s fashion for the gym, work and play in premium, active fabrics. And also offer a line of essential basic layering pieces, intimate apparel and exciting accessories.

ok now go ahead scroll through and look.... but guys be kind!

I have been raving about these pieces from Peach . And I thought that there was no better way to show you how versatile my favorite piece was than showing you 5 different ways to wear them. So here they are, the absurdly perfect faux leather yoga leggings that took this mama from drop off to pilates to date night.

There are two things I really am thinking about lately when making a purchase: First, will it be something I can wear all day if I don't have time to really change (and not get the side eye from mamas at Target...)?

Second, how often can/will I wear it. So here goes, 5 looks with my absolute favorite piece from their Fall collection UP TO BARRE. Well maybe the pink Maya Cocoon Cardigan that I am wearing in the first look is also up there on the favorite list... oh and the bracelet stack... yes jeez I have not stopped wearing them.

Yoga Class

I love that the faux leather panel in the front makes them so comfortable, don't get me wrong I love me a pair of leather pants but they tend to be well stiff and hard to chase babies in and now that Birdie is crawling I am doing that ALL day. These are so comfortable and flexible that even I can do (really badddddd) yoga poses in them and still feel really put together for a teacher meeting or brunch with the girls.

Toddler Drop-Off

The look below is perfect for hot tea, a fire and let's be real chasing a nap skipper. Or throw on some rain boots and head to the apple orchard for some apple picking.

Weekend At Home

I made pretend I was in my 20's and pulled off a choker/edgy brunch with the girls look. But honestly this look would be perfect for drop off and shopping.

Girls Brunch

And for the rare date night with the hubby? Well a cute and cozy off the shoulder sweater is a win, just make sure it covers the bum... and of course the leopard booties I pull out every Fall, oldies but goodies. I could add a denim mini skirt and wear this look during the day too!

Date Night

Nina Leggings - wearing a Large, not see-through and I've washed them twice, inside out and dry them flat to keep their shape.

Maya Cocoon Cardigan - I sized up to a large to cover my bum and also it drapes perfectly while nursing and this would look so awesome with a bump and for the hospital.

(I am currently wearing this natalia tunic and in love, perfect amount of drape, can be worn off the shoulder, I got a XL and could wear as a dress. PERFECT for a bump and for the hospital/nursing). I really want the Margot Funnel for joggers or a denim skirt.

What's your favorite on the line and where would you wear it to?? Comment below!

So there you have it, one pair of incredible leggings and so many awesome ways to wear them. I am so in love with them and embarrassed to tell you how often I have worn these over the last month. Would any of you be interested in how I would wear these to the office? If so shoot me an email.

Oh and if you are interested in checking out the line in person you are in luck, they are having a pop-up shop for ONE MONTH ONLY, at 211 Newbury Street in Boston. They opned last week. Check it out and make sure you mention Trish and Chic Boston Mama!

Do you know someone that would be interested in hosting a trunk show? Tag them on my Instagram or just forward this post.

PS remember to be kind to your postpartum body, and give yourself some grace when you see another mama's body / life looking different than yours. LEt's set our goals for the last couple months of the year and support each other in this VERY EXHAUSTING chapter of life.
