Hello my loves,
TGIF! We will be spending the weekend getting the house ready for Thanksgiving and a little local wine tasting (if your local you must try Jewell Towne Vineyards we always take home a couple cases of their yummy wine!) for my MIL's bday. Can't wait for that!
Can you believe Thanksgiving is next week?? I can hardly believe it! I have a few outfits I'll be shooting this weekend but in the meantime I thought I'd share a few pieces that could last all Holiday party season.
Loving this sweater dress, I wore a similar (black) one to host a little Ava Anderson Hour last weekend and felt so chic and still comfortable. I even kept my booties on all night which is unheard of. Let's be honest here and say this is probably not something I would have worn is Z was here and had to chase her around all night... But perfect for meeting his parents or a friendsgiving. At this price by both black and red!
This tunic is on my major wishlist. Imagine it with leather leggings ot tights and boots. It would hide every extra serving of dessert that I plan on having. The baring the shoulder trend did not die with summer people!!! Well it didn't for me anyway because showing that collarbone guarantees me looking a little skinnier...
I remember the night before Thanksgiving being the night we all went out for drinks in our hometown. We bumped into every ex (and their girlfriends) and folks we hadn't seen in forever. So it was important to look hot without trying. Does that look even exsist after baby?? lol I do think I will need to try majorly to look hot but this top and highwaisted denim and a ton of concealer (and dim lights) will do the trick! I'd probably rock fancy flats with it but heels would be even better.... Then you can wear it with a pencil skirt, tights and boots to your holiday party. I NEED this top and this one.
I just ordered this midi skirt in pink for the holidays and I can't wait to get my hands on it. When ever I purchase something I want to make sure I can wear it multiple times and I think this is one of those pieces. One I can wear through the holidays and beyond. In navy and in berry pink, which are both good decisions. Think cute sparkly cropped sweater + nude pumps = effortlessly chic on a budget. Now I must order some self tanner...
I am in love with a dressier jogger. AKA sweat pants that you can wear to dinner... And these faux leather ones may not be everyone's thing but they are SOOOO mine. Perfect for roadtrippin and still looking put together when you arrive. Hoping Santa reads my blog...
I recently ordered a maxi dress (no longer available) which I think I'll be wearing next week, maybe somehow I'll miraculously do all of the shopping for the food and table setting and get enough of time to get a mani and pedi?? At least the dishwasher comes today... This green one is similar and even prettier with this sale tag!
Anyone have an uber formal Turkey day? Because I am in love with this dramatic skirt, Or Perhaps a holiday gala? Goodness I think I'd even wear it around the house with a tshirt if I didn't get crazy looks from the UPS guy...
Also, Bloomingdale's is having a FABULOUS sale right now and I feel like Zoe needs this dress... Now to convince the hubby on all of these things... lol
My advice is stick to purchasing something you can get more than one wear out of. Ad comfort is key, especially for those of you chasing a babe, watching the timer and pouring glasses of wine!
Now go! Get ordering those holiday outfits now that there is time to ship!
Oh and those of you looking for a smaller version of my monogram door mat I found one for under $20!! I am going to put this one in the mudroom through the garage.
