{What I Wore: Springtime Layers}

^^ That elbow dimple and squishy face kill me ^^

On me: OFF DUTY sweatshirt old Sincerely Jules// Old Navy dress// Target Sandals// RayBan sunglasses// Foley & Corinna bag via TJ Maxx Bag (very budget friendly here and loving this beauty)

On Zoe: Gap Hat// Old Navy dress old (love this grey one here)// Sandals//

Can I be honest here and say layering has always been a fear of mine? No judgement zone, right? I always feel like I look a hundred pounds heavier, and let's be real I can't even afford to look 5 pounds heavier.. lol

But I thought I'd ease into it, especially since springtime spiratic temps are chilly in the AM and way warmer by mid day. This sleeveless dress was super light and a perfect base. When I layered a slip, a sweatshirt and my trusty gold birkenstock wannabe's it made for a perfect weekend brunch and a trip to the Arboretum. Brunches are a little different these days and require a park play date afterwards (mainly to reward the toddler for not throwing everything on the floor and keeping meltdowns to a minimum) so having a comfy outfit is necessary.

Then I realized I was breaking that whole white before Memorial Day rule, but you know what??? I say bleh too that rule... lol

I am definitely feeling the whole dressed up sweatshirt thing which made me feel a lil chic! This one is from Sincerely Jules's first collection (love her style!) but loving this one from the current one. This and this one are on my wishlist too (& on super sale!).

PS I have worn these sandals so much I am think I need these.... They are just so darn comfy and maybe they'll embarrass the mister a little less.. I think he dies every time I wear the gold ones...

Oh and I'll be posting some of my favorites from the Nordstrom Half Year Sale later today!!

xo
