{What I Wore: Stripes and Rain Boots}


I have been thinking a lot about how I have been neglecting this blog! There may not be millions who read it but I really enjoy the time that I put into it, the recipes, the documenting outfits, baby tips and best of all the deals I find! And with a new house comes decorating on a budget and lot's of DIY, soooooo I promise that I'll be taking more me time to continue to write in this little corner of the interweb.

That being said, here's the only outfit I have really worn in the last two weeks. And I may have changed into sweats shortly after returning back from running errands with Z... I blame it on the to-do list anxety! lol




And this my friends is the -we got 18 offers on our town house in 3 days and accepted one - dance! Because that my friends deserves a little dance and a whole lot of champagne! (Anyone need a realtor in the Boston area, because we have the best one EVER!)


I will admit I don't remember this dress being this short last summer.... lol Perhaps we'll keep it at the beach....

{What I Wore: Camo Casual)






Pants (old OldNavy but love these) T-shirt (Boyfriend V-Tee by Mossimo Supply Co.); Glasses (Warby Parker); Coat (Trina Turk)

I'd love to say we are all better over here but it is not the case. Soaking in lots of baths, indulging in very early bedtimes (for me!) and lot's of snuggles.

I thought I'd share a super simple outfit that I wore last week. Anyone else love camo skinnies as much as I do??? Actually camo, stripes and leopard anything is a yes in my book!! I'd even push the limits and call camo a neutral...

It would be silly for me to say I get dressed up in heels and wear lipstick every day but it doesn't mean I don't try and look put together. I feel that it helps me feel a little better to put on a little BB Cream and bronzer with a simple, easy to move in outfit even if I am just running to a pedi appt. It especially helps on days when I am feeling a little crappy.

So I hope you don't mind me sharing the simpler "mama uniforms" here on the blog because they obvi happen a little more than the heels these days...

{Mama Diaries: Time for Mama}


As a full time stay at home mama I find myself struggling to make time for myself. The guilt of leaving when O is home (when our time as a family is so limited) is overwhelming. But one thing I have realized in the last 15 months is that I need this time. I need a little time for me, even if it's just grocery shopping alone or better yet a mani and blowout (I did all three this weekend!). A little time when we get to enjoy the moment, listen to the person talking to us without juggling a sippy cup or snacks or simply read a magazine!

I love every single moment with my girl and feel so darn blessed that I get teary eyed thinking about how lucky I am to be home with her. How blessed I am to have O, who understands and supports how much I need this time with her. But that being said, it is HARD. So it doesn't matter if it's a run or a manicure, this time to ourselves, time to breathe and to reset; is important for us to continue being the best we can be, for these little humans we are raising.

On to the outfit, time for mama means I get to wear a tucked in shirt without having to retuck it a million times because let's be honest picking up a toddler a million times a day, kinda messes up your outfit!! Maybe next time I'll pull out a belt... Baby steps, baby steps.

I have been seeing distressed ripped denim everywhere and finally pulled these back out from pre-preggo days, they have a lot of stretch (which I recommend for chasing little ones) and are just as comfy as leggings. win win.
