It is finally feeling like Fall around these parts and I am excited. Mainly because the humidity has been like a swear word in this mama's vocabulary. Especially on days when my nausea is at it's worse. So a big big hooray for boots, scarves, hats and lots of coats! I am even digging the darker shades on lips and nails (if I ever get to a manicure...).
Now onto this outfit: There are very few things I dare to invest in during my "bump life" and a gorgeous cape coat (is that what it's called?) is one of them. While preggo I tend to go with something that is a little less form fitting instead of having to size up, this way I can use post baby. I really wanted this one that my girl Lani posted last year but didn't take the leap, having remorse over that! But when I came across this Parker one I knew I found a winner.
Plaid, leather (faux or real is up to you) & faux fur are all a MUST for my Fall wardrobe. And this is a much more sophisticated look on lé plaid. Definitely a splurge (look below for some steals) but well worth it when it can be worn with or with out bump, easy to nurse in can quickly make some leggings and a tunic look like a million bucks. Expect to see me wearing this sweetie all Fall long.
This is totally my life, trying to look cute, with a toddler and a pup who don't let me out of their site. GLAMOROUS people, GLAMOROUS!!!!
Poor Aiden has a been scratching at a cut and has a bad infection :(
On ME - Red Plaid Cape - Denim - Shirt (love this bell sleeve one!) - Old Urban Outfitters studded flats (love these navy ones under $30! and these Rebecca Minkoff ones!) - Hat
On Zoe - Old Navy Fur Vest - Dress is last season from Wee Mondine (love this and this super soft one ) - Hunter boots -
I can see myself dressing the Cape up with a fitted dress and booties or wearing it with denim and a cute white tee or even a chunky sweater and over the knee boots for the colder weather.
I'll be posting all about my search for maternity denim that I love but for this post I am wearing an insane STEAL for $35. Here are a few other cape options that you may love.
Happy Wednesday my darlings! Oh and I will be sharing a CSA veggie pasta sauce recipe this week that is sure to please the entire family, so make sure and subscribe!
