I can't even begin to tell you how much I dreamed of a house with a seperate eat-in kitchen and dining room. Seriously, city-living kept our very open first floor crammed with a dining room, not enough counter space and no place to really entertain. It was so crammed that sitting at the table for regular dinners felt uncomfortable.
But one of the perks of moving to the burbs is the space, first up in the furniture buying game was an eat-in kitchen table. This West Elm one was the one I fell in love with but the 40' was to small and 60' to large but with a little hope and lot's of googling I found this one. The right size and, less expensive and honestly guys it is such great quality! Solid wood and leaves room in the budget for all the other big ticket items (read: new sectional, sofa and dining room table, oy! ).
Here was my inspo board.
I wanted to keep it simple and functional but something pretty. A nice rug, gorgeous chairs and a pendant light fixture, and bam you had an actual eat-in kitchen. A space that flowed into the family room but is still seperate. Hoping to have some room reveal pics this next week, along with an update on the playroom! Happy almost weekends my love. Tune in tomorrow for a twist on hummus that the whole family will love.
